At Dane Solutions we are dedicated to the goal of delivering superior custom software applications. We have extensive experience creating desktop applications and database driven web applications. Why Custom Software?

It's the age old debate, do you buy existing software or build custom software? The answer is...it depends. Sometimes it will make sense to purchase existing software and other times it will make sense to build custom software. At Dane Solutions, we're here to help you make the tough decision whether to buy or build software. We will analyze your needs and help you in the right direction. Even though we are experts at creating custom software, if we think purchasing an existing software product would be best for your situation, we will tell you!

Our Custom Software Process

We want your custom software project to be an easy process for you. Most of the time we follow the Waterfall model (seen below), but also have experience with other Iterative models as well (Agile, Extreme). If you have a preference feel free to tell us and we can adapt to your needs. Below is a brief explanation of our process:

We will work closely with you to determine your goals and expectations for your custom software project. We will provide you with an estimate for the software project. We are comfortable working on fixed bid projects or hourly, whichever you prefer. You decide if you want to proceed or not. If not, you owe us nothing. However, if you would like to proceed we move on to the next steps.

The actual design and development occurs. You will be kept in the loop as the project progresses via status reports, demos, etc... The software is delivered to you for testing. Issues you find during your testing will be fixed in a timely manner and you are given a new version to test. All of our projects are under warranty (for a mutually agreed upon time) and any issues that are found after the project is completed, we fix for free -- Please Note: Only issues found within the original scope of the project are under warranty, any new functionality/changes are not covered.
